So what is the principle of wireless charging? First, you need a little bit of fundamental physics, electricity, and magnetism. We can convert put, electricity, and magnetic fields into each other under certain conditions. Wireless charging is based on such a theory. The AC power is converted into a magnetic field output in the wireless charging base (transmitter). The device (receiver) is then converted into AC power for the device to use. Such a process achieves wireless charging.

There are three leading organizations in wireless charging: WPC with Qi-standard, PMA, and A4WP with Rezence (5cm) standard. Among them are WPC and AFA. Among them, the Qi standard of WPC is based on induction, and the research direction of PMA is also inductive. As for A4WP, it is resonance.

At present, there are two mainstream wireless charging methods:

Tightly-coupled induction: This method is based on Faraday's electromagnetic induction principle and is characterized by a short transmission distance

Loosely-coupled resonance: characterized by long transmission distance, high efficiency, high power, and high potential practical value

In contrast, resonant charging can be farther, more efficient, and can charge multiple devices simultaneously. However, the mainstream wireless charging bases on the market are all based on the Qi standard. Similarly, our wireless charging products also work based on the QI protocol.
